Fifth Group Restaurants announced Wednesday plans to open a second location of Alma Cocina, its Mexican and Latin American concept with an original location in downtown Atlanta.

The new, 7,000-square-foot Alma Cocina is set to open in mid-2019 in the former Bricktop’s space at the Terminus development in Buckhead.

Thanks to the gorgeous snowfall in early December, made all the more beautiful by the fact that we didn’t become a national laughingstock that time around, our city got a taste of legitimate winter. Stir-fry spot closes after less than a year in West Midtown

One Rooster Mongolian Bar has closed in West Midtown after less than a year.

The create-your-own stir fry restaurant from Atlanta restaurateur Mike Blum  opened in February 2017 at 1016 Howell Mill Road NW. The space is also the former home of Blum’s previous — and similar — concept, The Real Chow Baby. The closure was first reported by Tomorrow’s News Today.

Argosy team purchases former Oak Brewpub in Oakhurst

This morning, Armando Celentano, Donald Durant and Benjamin Rhoades, the partners behind Argosy, a popular beer bar and restaurant in East Atlanta Village, announced that they had purchased the former Oak Brewpub in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur, which closed in November, not long after its grand opening celebration.

A northwest Atlanta seafood spot has closed its doors after a half century.

The team behind the popular Poké Burri poké bowl and burrito stall in East Atlanta’s Global Grub Collective are set to bring ramen to the mini food hall this month.

Union Hill Kitchen, which was located at 5336 Peachtree Road, closed on Dec. 22, Tomorrow’s News Today first reported.

The year ended with the closure of two longtime Roswell restaurants.

Greenwood’s on Green Street and barbecue restaurant Swallow at the Hollow both shuttered on Dec. 31.
