Grant Park Market — a second location of Candler Park Market — is in soft open mode in the Larkin on Memorial development at 519 Memorial Drive.

South Fulton has a new spot for Texas-style barbecue.

Hattie Marie’s Texas Style BBQ and Cajun Kitchen opened its doors last week at 3699 Main St. in College Park.

Corn dog eatery Pallookaville has closed its doors in Avondale Estates.

The restaurant’s management addressed the closure on its Facebook page, with the hint that another business might move into the space at 17 N. Avondale Road:

James Maggard and Jason Hylton bought Pallookaville in early 2016 from former owner Jim Stacy.

This is the second restaurant Maggard and Hylton closed this year — M572 in Tucker ceased service in August.

Southern-inspired restaurant to replace Italian eatery in Brookhaven

Pasta and pizza will soon give way to Southern favorites in Brookhaven.

Fiorello’s Italian Bistro, which took the place of Brookhaven Provisions in the Brookleigh Marketplace at 3575 Durden Drive NE earlier this year, has closed its doors.

The space has been snapped up by Glenda and Jose Mata who plan to turn it into an “upscale Southern-inspired American restaurant and bar,” according to Steve Josovitz of The Shumacher Group, Inc., who brokered the deal.
