Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria has opened its second metro Atlanta location in the Dunwoody Mall.

The eatery takes over the space vacated by Varasano’s Pizza, which closed in June 2016 after less than a year in business.

Craig Richards is headed to New York. The executive chef at St. Cecilia came out on top in a reader poll to determine which Atlanta chef would represent this city in a televised cook-off on ABC’s food show “The Chew.”

Grant Park coffee shop rebrands, adds pop-up and other top metro Atlanta dining news from the week

The Grant Park location of coffee shop Revelator Coffee Company — formerly Octane — has launched a new South Korean pop-up.

Anju, which means “food consumed with alcohol,” offers a new take on traditional South Korean bar food such as savory pancakes, fish dishes and noodles. Helmed by Seoul native Chef James Murphy, formerly a chef at Kimball House and Gaja, Anju will run indefinitely starting at 6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.

Inspired by the video game series, Second Self Beer Co. is releasing its new Triforce “slightly hazy” IPA on Saturday with a really geeky party at the brewery’s taproom in West Midtown

The fun and video games include a costume contest and Triforce tacos from Real Mexican Vittles. There’s also a Hyrule-inspired quest around Atlanta for fans of Second Self. Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q’s “Que’ Osk,” the standalone barbecue kiosk that opened in October 2016, will launch breakfast at its Armour Yards outpost beginning Feb. 19.

Fox Bros. will hold preview breakfast pop-ups at the Freedom Farmer’s Market at the Carter Center on Jan. 13, Feb. 3 and Feb. 10, with co-owners Jonathan and Justin Fox dishing up fare for those with a morning hanker for Tex-Mex.

Fifth Group Restaurants announced Wednesday plans to open a second location of Alma Cocina, its Mexican and Latin American concept with an original location in downtown Atlanta.

Argosy team purchases former Oak Brewpub in Oakhurst

This morning, Armando Celentano, Donald Durant and Benjamin Rhoades, the partners behind Argosy, a popular beer bar and restaurant in East Atlanta Village, announced that they had purchased the former Oak Brewpub in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur, which closed in November, not long after its grand opening celebration.

The British pub concept known simply as The Pub will close its doors at Perimeter Mall after service tonight.

Fast-casual Indian restaurant in at Atlantic Station after Tin Drum closure

Atlantic Station saw a lot of changes in its restaurant lineup in 2017, and the mixed-use development is starting the year with the announcement of another.

Indian concept NaanStop is set to open this spring in a 2,200 square-foot space vacated at the end of the year by chain Tin Drum Asian Kitchen.

Founded by brothers Neal and Samir Idnani, who learned to cook with their mother, NaanStop allows customers to choose a protein on a salad, rice bowl or naanwich, with dishes including Chicken Tikka Masala and Samosas.
