Two new restaurants are coming to Chamblee as part of a forthcoming mixed-use development.

Parkview on Peachtree, which will be located at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Clairmont Road, will welcome The Alden and Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar when it opens later this year.

Mexican restaurant, coffee shop among tenants for Forysth County food hall

Gu’s Dumplings will be one of several options at Halcyon.

The Halcyon development in Forsyth County is starting to take shape with some tasty additions to its roster of tenants.

The mixed-use development’s Market Hall food hall will welcome Gu’s Dumplings, which also has stalls at Krog Street Market and SunTrust Park; Tocayo, a Mexican street food spot; Kilwin’s Chocolate; and Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Company, which has several locations in metro Atlanta and the Southeast.

Biscuit spot added to restaurant lineup at Parsons Alley in Duluth

Another restaurant is being added to the roster of shops and eateries at Duluth restaurant and retail district Parsons Alley.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Maple Street Biscuit Company is set to open this fall in an old Baptist church building in downtown Duluth, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.

Maple Street, which has several locations in Florida as well as a recently opened store in Chattanooga, serves a variety of biscuit sandwiches for breakfast and lunch.

4 Rivers Smokehouse is opening tomorrow. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on July 25 at 9 a.m. to celebrate the new location for the barbecue chain. AJC announced last fall that 4 Rivers would be opening its first Georgia location bringing some of the southeast’s best barbecue to Atlanta.

The gelato chain, known for its rose-shaped scoops of gelato and sorbet, will be opening its first location in Georgia this fall.

The store will be located in The Shops Buckhead between ATTOM and Tod’s.

Georgia’s first kombucha tea company, Golda Kombucha, is expanding with a new brewery and taproom that will open in late 2017.

Golda Kombucha will open its first brick-and-mortar taproom and brewery along the Westside trail portion of the Beltline. Poké City, a restaurant that focuses on the traditional Hawaiian raw fish salad, is coming to Midtown. Poké City will be taking over the space at 931 Monroe Drive currently occupied by Japanese restaurant Kiri Midtown.

Chef Praveen Sharma is in as executive chef at Amara in Inman Park. Sharma’s arrival also mean sizeable changes to the menu.

Amara opened late last year with a carte of contemporary Indian-American dishes. That menu was devised by its executive chef Bhavesh Patel, who was replaced four months after the restaurant opened with back-of-house team from its sister restaurant Tabla.
