Marcel will offer shrimp boullettes, fried frog legs, USDA Prime meat and more for 64-cents beginning at 11 p.m. (drinks available on the patio beginning at 10 p.m.) Friday, Sept. 29. This special dinner price will be an ode to the early 1900s, but the menu, created by executive chef Craig Richards along with chef Stephen Stryjewski of Cochon Butcher, is modern.

Hurricane Irma has come and gone, causing serious damage to much of Florida and many parts of Georgia.

Atlanta-based non-profit The Giving Kitchen — the charitable arm of much-lauded Edgewood restaurant Staplehouse — has started the Hurricane Irma Emergency Assistance Fund to assist those in the restaurant industry impacted by the storm.

Decatur has a new spot for barbecue.

Ohio-based City Barbecue opened its first metro Atlanta location today in the Decatur Crossing development at 2511 Blackmon Drive in Decatur. The fast-casual restaurant offers up barbecue staples including ribs, pulled pork, brisket and chicken in addition to vegetable sides, salads and desserts.

New pizza restaurant slated for south Buckhead

The team behind established pizza spots Atwoods Pizza in Midtown, Hearth Pizza Tavern in Sandy Springs and Camps Kitchen & Bar in Marietta has a new pizza spot in the works.

Howell’s is slated to open in November in the Howell Mill development at 1952 Howell Mill Road, Eater reports.

Chef Rob Phillip, who developed Atwoods, Hearth and Camps with Jeff Newsham, is designing a menu featuring a variety of pizzas, pastas, salads and dishes “with global influences” including lamb gyro dumplings and curry caramel popcorn, as well as entrees including salmon filet and steak frites.

A beverage program will be overseen by Tom McGuire who previously worked at Proof and Provision, Burn Social Club and Craft Izakaya.

Howell’s, which will serve lunch, dinner and brunch, will join Savannah sandwich spot Zunzi’s in the Howell Mill development.
